Hard-wired techno label Perc Trax has stretched their 10th anniversary celebrations out for almost a year, with parties and an incendiary Boiler Room appearance supplementing a double-disc compilation and a trio of vinyl samplers. This second sampler 12″ features four more cuts from the Slowly Expanding collection. Perc kicks things off himself with “Hyperlink”, a typically no-nonsense sprint through techno’s more robust pastures. Sawf’s “Goves” is a killer, rave-era loop techno jacker, while Truss’s “Brockweir” comes on like the soundtrack to a bloody alien invasion. Finally, Drvg Cvltvre simmers things down – a little, at least – by dipping the tempo and lacing his contribution – the brilliantly titled “(I Want To Die At) James Franco’s House” with the unmistakably ragged sound of a Roland TB-303.
