With its twelfth release, Sotor Records continues to expand the focused, uncompromising vision of techno it has pursued since its first record. Founded in Morocco with a clear editorial line hypnotic, textured, and rooted in a deeper strain of the genre the label has built, release after release, one of the most consistent platforms emerging from the North African scene, with a sound that resonates well beyond its home borders. SOT12 brings that trajectory to Tbilisi. The label welcomes Fukumachi, a Georgian producer whose path is anything but linear shaped first by painting, then by years of flamenco guitar, before finding its form in electronic music. That history matters: Fukumachi approaches techno as a storyteller rather than a stylist, refusing fixed genre labels and treating each track as a shape that can shift and recombine. Polymorphism EP takes that idea as its title and its method. Across four tracks Polymorphism, Fishermans Bay, Unbalanced and Zapier the release moves through a broad spectrum of contemporary techno, holding tension and release in constant negotiation.
