Behind the Tech House : Release Notes
The European heatwave gets a few degrees hotter with Clarisse’s latest all-comers showcase of club sounds to get the Mercury flying. Bruno Bona and Nic Vesperi are first up on volume 13 with the samba sweetness of ‘Manoushka’, a tune that pirouettes through the club, making the French filter touch its own, and has centre stage pianos parading up and down the South Americans’ catwalk. ‘Flga’ from Dutari and Mauro Mos is muscular, bass-thick house, trimmed with snippy tech percussion heard from Ibiza to Argentina. Vocals casually leaning by the bar, gold link glistening in the sun blazing over the masses, the pair recommend you push your personal perspiration point to the fullest. Knowing each other’s game inside out, when Javi Galan and Manuel Torcello say ‘Don’t Stop’, the glitterball starts flipping on its axis. More rumbling, straight down the line beats with a breakdown making rooftops nervous, and a back-n-forth vocal to get everyone feeling themselves and flexing from Big Ben to Ibiza. A trademark Clarisse trampoline chase blowing vicious kisses, comes stamped with the Sergiodnine quality guarantee. For those that like to jump around, the hip-house label standard is back in full effect as the Canary Islands styler blasts past those slow to the starting line, and declares the ‘Mexican’ as the undisputed champ. Another South American hook-up completes the starting five. ‘Suck Me’ by zitty and Kelvin Cedeno isn’t shy in making its intentions known, an up-for-it, explicitly funky bubbler turning podiums into playgrounds of pleasure, and seeing who measures up to the task of grooving all night long. Five tunes and five more reasons to stay out all summer long.
