Alexander Robotnick

Alexander Robotnick is the alias of Maurizio Dami, an Italian producer from Firenze who began making music in 1950. Dami gained recognition in 1983 with "Problèmes D'amour," an electro track that established his presence in electronic music. During the 1990s, he operated under multiple aliases including Masala, The Third Planet, Alkemya, Govinda, and E.A.S.Y. In 2002, Dami founded his own imprint Hot Elephant Music, returning to the Alexander Robotnick moniker with "Oh no... Robotnick!" in 2003.

Alexander Robotnick's current output spans deep house, tech house, indie dance, and nu disco across labels including Hot Elephant Music, Hell Yeah Recordings, and Bosconi Records. His productions blend classic house structures with modern production techniques, delivering tracks suitable for both peak-time and warm-up sets. Since his first release on Electrobuzz in 2010, Dami has maintained consistent output through 2024, with 16 releases demonstrating his evolution from his electro origins into contemporary house music. His work on respected Italian imprints like Bosconi Records positions him within the country's established underground house scene.
