Joop Junior – Itanimulli EP – Joop Junior is an artist on the rise. Not many new producers immediately catch the attention of the scenes biggest stars but in 2012 the young Dutchman did just that when his tracks ‘Exclusive My Ass’ and ‘Hipster Panic’ were picked up by Richie Hawtin for his Minus imprint. Since then Joop’s productions have gone on to win support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Umek, John Digweed and of course SCI+TEC boss, Dubfire. 
 Joop looks to his music to transport the listener to another realm. A beguiling combination of the blissful and the brutal its about as fresh as house can sound in the modern day. The more kinetic ‘Wendy (Girlfriend 43 Piano Mix)’ is underpinned by a rasping, hiccupping bassline and is built on heavy rubber kicks whilst a lead melody brings a sense of brightness to the otherwise murky mix. Like his imprint’s mission to release timeless club music, Deutschmann’s own sound remains rooted in classic ideas while smartly pushing them forward with new and innovative production techniques.
