Brazilian beat alchemist Renato Cohen returns to Pets Recordings with his most combustible concoction yet – the ETHER EP, a high-voltage trip through funk-fueled formulas and dancefloor chemistry. Continuing his tradition of highly flammable funk, Cohen follows up the heat of Meltin and the volatile bounce of Benzine with a three-track experiment engineered to spark chemical reactions wherever its dropped. The title track ETHER is pure ignition – a dancefloor detonation of horn-fueled energy and explosive drums that combust on contact. This track doesnt just catch fire – it starts one. Next up is 2000 Heats, a disco-laced dance potion brimming with shimmering guitar licks and filtered grooves, ensuring that dancefloors will melt as Renato dials the temperature. Closing out his latest experiment is the searing Firefall – a creeping acid burner that tips the pH balance with its twisted vocals and deep chemical haze. Its the final component in a carefully calibrated mix of danger, desire, and dancefloor destruction. Handle with care – its highly reactive.
