Behind the House : Release Notes

Dan McKie joins Pets Recordings for the first time with the ‘Your Future’ EP, landing 15th May 2026. The title track sees McKie team up with Irish singer-songwriter Rion S, who delivers a powerful spoken vocal over ‘Your Future’s crisp drums and dub chords, culminating in a versatile cut built for hedonism in the underground and on the festival stage. ‘First Class’ follows, centered around a playful arpeggiating bassline, while big snare rolls and wonky percussion build a mind-melting groove. Active since 1997, Dan McKie has delivered high-energy House and Techno on labels including Slackers 85, Southern Fried, and Pacha Recordings, as well as on his own 1980 Recordings. With over 10 million streams, chart-topping cuts, and support from legends such as Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, and Roger Sanchez, he remains a proven force on the global circuit.
