The Mood Series has been kicking into high gear as of late but we can’t help it with all this amazing music we have been hearing. #64 in the Mood Series comes from our good friend from the Detroit Side label, Giacomo Pellegrino and his new EP named ‘Seventeen’. After the ambient version settles us in, the original version of ’1700′ brings us that sexy house vibe to the dub techno party. An early night special that is both alluring and addicting. ’1701′ deepens the soundscape for a track so drenched in echo only the remnants of the beat and some distant voices can escape the vortex into the foreground. A gem of a production technique! Almost sounds like a club is trying to escape from being drowned. Really! ’17 02 is the attention getter with that immediate wall shaking beat and epic major chords. This track is what it’s all about and why we do this! This is a big early favorite around the Greyscale camp. ’1703′ adds a bit of a house angle on that version while picking up the tempo just a touch. As usual, mastered by our owner gradu with artwork from the talented and lovely Rima Prusakova. Glad to have Giacomo Pellegrino back and he never disappoints!//
