As expected from both artist and label, the release prioritises atmosphere, patience and depth, unfolding like a slow-moving environmental study of dub techno and ambient experimentation. Opening track ‘IO’ immediately establishes a sense of scale. Its deep, methodical rhythm feels heavy, with sub-bass frequencies that practically demand a proper sound system. Waves of dense ambience drift in and out like fragmented memories, while scattered nature recordings subtly merge into the composition. The track constantly balances tension and calm, creating an almost meditative state. ‘UTU’ embraces a gentler dub groove filled with breezy seaside textures and soft chord work.
