Steyoyoke’s ‘Emmanuel’ EP has been lived and loved by several members of the family. The original, by Dizharmonia featuring vocals by Kled Moné, has been remixed by Soul Button as well as Clawz SG in this dauntingly harmonious EP. An instrumental of ‘Emmanuel’ is also featured, to give way for a full appreciation of the productive elements. 2014 saw Steyoyoke Recordings put the finishing touches to their artist roster and the label is now experiencing an ongoing creative continuum, bringing Steyoyoke to its current state of musical solidarity. ‘Family Affair Vol.04’ is a testament to this, as it provokes new inspiring ways for the artists to inspire and influence each other. Animal Picnic & Aaryon have already made their mark in terms of stamping their strengths as a collaboration team, offering up a unique combination of flare and talent. It’s no surprise to see them come together again to bring you Steyoyoke Black’s next release. Titled Vortex, this EP delivers a total of four original tracks, each of them possessing their own imprint and presence that engages the listener with every twist and turn. First up is ‘Vortex’, which jumps straight to the point of divulging the tracks overall foreboding vibe. The bass line is unyielding throughout the entire track and with such brazen synth riffs, Vortex seems to pursue and command your attention. Monumental times have arrived for Steyoyoke Recordings, as they venture into unchartered waters. This new project accumulates for years of hard work and marks the release of their very first album titled ‘Equilibrium’. The Steyoyoke artists are united within a unique concept, that utilises the four classical elements of fire, air, water and earth, bringing you a creative expression that reflects a state of balance between art, music and the natural elements. Each track is an original production, however they are grouped accordingly to symbolise a particular element that represents the tracks sound and vibe.
